Ne-Yo Welcomes son Mason Evan Smith

Pop and R&B singer-songwriter Shaffer Chimere Smith, Jr. better known by his stage name “Ne-Yo” welcomed a new baby boy, Mason Evan Smith.
His second child with girlfriend Monyetta Shaw came less than a year after the birth of their daughter, Madilyn Grace. According to PEOPLE, Ne-Yo stated, “Fatherhood” has been a ride, I’m loving every minute of it.”
In June of 2010, Ne-Yo broke the news to Ebony magazine that he and his thought to be girlfriend, Monyetta, were expecting a child. On November 12, 2010, Madilyn Grace Smith was born in Atlanta, Georgia. In an interview following the birth of his first child, Ne-Yo said, “I’ve been in love before but this feels like nothing I’ve ever felt. It’s like I’m in love for the first time.”
