Giuliana Rancic is a lively Italian American celebrity news personnel and host of E! News. What’s more; she co-hosts red carpet events for award shows such as the Golden Globes and Academy Awards. Rancic was born in Naples, Italy and moved to the U.S at the age of five. Since, she has proved to be successful both in her personal life and in her career as an accomplished media critic.
On December 15th, 2006, Bill Rancic and Giuliana announced their engagement and married in September of 2007. Bill Rancic was the winner of the first season of Donald Trump’s reality television show, The Apprentice. The Rancic’s began their own reality television show together called Giuliana and Bill in 2011. Although the two aspire to be loving parents one day, fertility issues have plagued the couple over the past four years.
In a recent interview with the Today show this past Monday, Giuliana opened up about her struggle becoming pregnant and her recent diagnosis of Breast Cancer.
“Through my attempt to get pregnant through IVF, we sadly found out that I have early stages of breast cancer,” she said. This came about after the doctor required that she take a mammogram to ensure there was no possibility of cancer before utilizing hormones to get pregnant. The hormones would accelerate any cancerous cells existing in her body.
“I wasn’t prepared to get a mammogram until I was 40 years old, like I’d been told. I never in my wildest dreams expected anything to be wrong.”
