Jake Gyllenhaal is the son of director Stephen Gyllenhaal and screenwriter Naomi Foner.
Gyllenhaal's father was raised in the Swedenborgain religion, while his mother is from a New York City Jewish-American family. Jake also has a sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal, who is also an actress. Gyllenhaal was raised in the Jewish faith, and his Bar Mitzvah took place in a homeless shelter to instill in him a sense of gratitude. He was also forced to work in the summer to support himself. He worked as a lifeguard and busboy at a restaurant owned by a family friend.
Gyllenhaal began acting at age eleven, making his debut in Billy Crystal's son in the 1991 film City Slickers. In years to come, Gyllenhaal's parents regularly forbade him to take roles is he was indeed chosen. He was, however, allowed to partake in several of his father's films. He appeared in the 1993 film A Dangerous Woman and in a 19994 episode of Homicide: Life on the Street.
Gyllenhaal graduated from Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles in 1998, then attended Columbia University for two years. He dropped out to concentrate on acting, but has expressed interest to earn his degree. Gyllenhaal's performance in October Sky earned a breakout performance review from the Sacramento News and Review.
Donnie Darko, Gyllenhaal's second major film, stars his as a troubled teenager who, after escaping death, experiences visions of a 6-foot-tall rabbit named Frank who tells him the world is coming to an end. Gyllenhaal's next role as the lead in Highway, was described by critics as "silly, cliched, and straight to video." He had more successful starring in The Good Girl, opposite Jennifer Aniston, and starred in Lovely & Amazing with Catherine Keener. He later starred in the romantic comedy Bubble Boy, which was loosely based on David Vetter. The film is about pursuing the woman he loved before she married the wrong man.
Following Bubble Boy, he starred opposite of Dustin Hoffman and Susan Sarandon in Moonlight Mile, as a young man coping with the death of his fiance and her parents. Gyllenhaal was almost cast as Spide Man for Spider Man 2 due to the concern that Tobey Maguire, who had a preexisting back injury, risked paralysis from stunt work the movie required. Maguire recovered
and the movie was shot without Gyllenhaal. Instead, he starred in The Day After Tomorrow in 2004, oppose Dennis Quaid as his father.
Gyllenhall made his theatrical debut on a London stage in Kenneth Lonergan's This is Our Youth.
Gyllenhaal is quoted as saying, "every actor I look up to has done theatre work, so I know I had to give it a try."
2005 was by far the year of Jake Gyllenhaal. He starred in three critically praised films including:Proof, Jarhead, and Brokeback Mountain. He stars opposite Gwyneth Paltrow and Anthony Hopkins, as a math grad who tries to convince Paltrow's character to publish a revolutionary proof to a problem puzzling the mathematical community. In Jarhead, he played an aggressive masculinity as a violent US Marine during the first Gulf War. Brokeback Mountain, which is Gyllenhaal's most notable film, stars him and Heath Ledger, as two sheep herders who secretly fall in love in the 1960s. The film won a Golden Lion prize at the Venice Film Festival,
four Golden Globes, Four BAFTA Awards, and three Academy Awards. When asked about his kissing scenes with Heath Ledger, Gyllenhaal stated, "As an actor, I think we need to embrace the times we feel most umcomfortable." When asked about the more intimate scenes with
Ledger, Gyllenhaal referred them to "doing a love scene with a woman I'm not particularly attracted to."
His most notable relationship has been with actress Kirsten Dunst. People has recently linked Gyllenhaal with actress Reese Witherspoon, his co-star in Rendition.
Internationally viewed as a sex symbol, Gyllenhaal was named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People" in 2006. He was also listed in People's "Hottest Bachelors of 2006".

Hugh went to Sayre Elementary School, and Steinmetz High School, then served in the U.S. Army during the closing months of WWII. After his service, he majored in psychology at the

Despite spending less than three years in college before graduating, Hefner found time to edit the magazine Shaft, and sold cartoons to magazines. His first salaried job was with a firm that produced and printed cardboard cartons.
Hefner married Mildred Williams and had two children, Christie and David Paul. Christie is Chairperson of Playboy Enterprises. Mildred and Hugh divorced after ten years of marriage in 1959.
In 1953, the idea of the centerfold came about because of the need for a copy machine in the magazine's offices. A female employee named Charlaine Karalus made the request, with Hefner offering to purchase it if the well-endowed Karalus would pose naked. Accepting the offer, Karalus became "Janet Pilgrim" in the July issue and started the centerfold tradition that continues to the present.
At its peak, Playboy sold more than 5,200,000 issues each month. The first Playboy Jazz Festival took place in the state of Rhode Island in 1979 and has become a staple for the most prominent musicians in the field. In 1960, Hugh Hefner opened up the first Playboy Club in Chicago, which featured women in bunny costumes serving drinks to customers who listened to many of the same guests that populated Hefner's television show. After expanding to 12 clubs, he evenually lost his casino license and the clubs folded. In 1985, Hugh suffered a stroke and that's when he passed control of the business to his daughter.
After his marriage ended, Hugh became the world's most envied womanizer. He has said that during some years, he was "'involved' with maybe eleven out of twelve months worth of Playmates." After his 36 year bachelor party, he married Kimberley Conrad and had 2 children. They eventually split but have yet to get a divorce. After they split, Hugh assembled a coterie of girlfriends. After some girlfriends' coming and going, they now include Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson. Holly is now the "head" girlfriend and it was announced in January of 2007, that Hugh (age 80) wants to have a baby with her.
The Hugh M. Hefner First Amendment Awards were created by daughter Christie in 1979 "to honor individuals who have made significant contributions in the vital effort to protect and enhance First Amendment rights for Americans." He and his family also donate and raised great amounts of money for the Democratic Party.

In a TV documentary, Hefner stated that he was a virgin when he went into the Army and a virgin when he got out. He lost his virginity at age 22.
He has a subspecies of rabbit named in his honor called Sylvilagus palustris hefneri.
Hefner is noted for smoking a tobacco pipe. His pipes of choice are Dunhill.
His first professional movie was Roman Polański's film adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth, where he served as the executive producer.
Every Sunday, Friday, and Monday night at the Playboy Mansion Hefner hosts a movie night. He has an elaborate collection of films in a library off of his bedroom.

Hilton is the oldest of four children. Her younger sister is Nicky Hilton and her younger brothers are Barron Hilton II, and Conrad Hilton III. When Conrad Hilton (Paris's great-grandfather and founder of Hilton Hotels) died in 1979, he left nothing in his will to his children or other descendants. Barron Hilton (her grandfather) contested this decision and won in 1988. The value of Paris's inheritance has been variously estimated at between (US) $30 and $50 million.
She attended her freshman year of high school in Rancho Mirage, California at the Marywood-Palm Valley School and her sophomore and junior years of high school at the Dwight School in New York, but dropped out and eventually earned a GED. Hilton did not attend college. In early 2001, Hilton began to develop a reputation as a 19-year-old socialite, being identified as "New York's leading It Girl." Paris gained publicity in 2003 because of a sex video which leaked out and appeared throughout the Internet.
In recent years Hilton has gained recognition by appearing in television, movies, television commercials, and modeling photographs. In the fall of 2004, Hilton released a book, Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Pose co-written by Merle Ginsberg, which has full color photographs of her and gives her tips on the dos and don'ts of living as an heiress. This book became a New York Times Bestseller.Hilton followed it up with a designer-diary, also with Ginsberg—Your Heiress Diary: Confess It All To Me. Aimed at her young fans encouraging them to write about their goals, their friends and family, boys, celebrities they admire, etc. Hilton plans to release another book in 2007.
Hilton has helped design a collection of purses for Tokyo label Samantha Thavasa and has also been involved in the design of a jewelry line, The Paris Hilton Collection, for Amazon.com. Hilton also began her own chain of nightclubs known as Club Paris in 2005.In early May of 2004, Hilton was involved in the creation of a fragrance line by Parlux Fragrances.
Hilton has been widely discussed by tabloids. She has had relationships with many different famous people, actors, singers, sports professionals, etc.Hilton was engaged to male fashion model Jason Shaw from mid-2002 to early 2003. On May 29, 2005, she announced her engagement to Paris Latsis, a Greek shipping heir. However that was called off and she started dating another Greek shipping Heir,Stavros Niarchos III, which ended seven months later.
On September 7, 2006, Hilton was arrested for driving under the influence.
In the March 2005 issue of Playboy, she was named the "Sex Star of the Year" in their list of the 25 Sexiest Celebrities. Maxim magazine ranked Hilton #38 on its annual Hot 100 list. She was also voted as the second Worst Celebrity Role Model of 2006, behind Britney Spears.

Katie Holmes is known for her role in the tv series, Dawson's Creek. Dawson's Creek made her a star. She has made some movies but admits that most of them were "bombs".
She is the youngest in a family of five children by Kathleen and Martin Joesph Holmes, a divorce attorney. Katie was baptised Roman Catholic. She attended an all female high school, Notre Dame Academy, where she was a 4.0 student. She appeared in school musicals at a nearby all boys school. After receiving a 1310 on her SAT's, she was accepted into Columbia University, where her father wanted her to become a doctor.
She took modeling classes, starting at the age of fourteen, and in 1996, she went to a talent expo in NYC. There, she found an agent after performing and the tape was sent to a casting director for the 1997 movie, The Ice Storm, where she was cast in a small role.
In January 1997, Holmes went to Los Angeles for pilot season, when producers cast and shoot new programs in the hopes of securing a spot on a network schedule. The Blade, her hometown paper, reported she was offered the lead in Buffy the Vampire Slayer but she turned it down. She was asked to audition for a new show and she turned it down because she had a lead role in school play. They allowed her to audition for Dawson's Creek via video tape. The Hollywood Reporter claimed the story of Holmes's audition "has become the stuff of legend" and "no one even thought that it was weird that one of the female leads would audition via Federal Express."
Holmes filmed the pilot of Dawson's Creek in Wilmington, North Carolina, during spring break of her senior year of high school in 1997.When the show was picked up by The WB, Holmes moved to Wilmington, where the show filmed. The show brought her national attention and many fans back home; Toledo's Thanksgiving Day parade in November 1998 had record attendance when Holmes was named grand marshal. Dawson's Creek ran from 1998 to 2003, and Holmes was the only actor to appear in all 128 episodes.
Although most of her movies never hit the "top 10", she did win an MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Artist for Disturbing Behavior in 1998. Batman Begins was her most successful film of her career. However, she received a Golden Raspberry nomination for "worst supporting actress" for the film.
Holmes was annually named by both the British and American editions of FHM magazine as one of the sexiest women in the world from 1999 forward. She was named one of People's "50 Most Beautiful People" in 2003. Teen People declared her one of the "25 Hottest Stars Under 25" that year. In 2005, People said she was one of the ten best dressed stars that year.
Holmes dated her Dawson's Creek co-star Joshua Jackson for several months early in the show's run, the relationship ending amicably. They are now best friends. She then met actor Chris Klein and they were engaged from 2003-2005. Weeks after, Katie started dating, actor, Tom Cruise, sixteen years her senior. Two months after they first met, she became engaged to Cruise. Their relationship has made Holmes the subject of international media attention, much of it negative. There is controversy between her Catholic religion and Cruise's belief in Scientology. The couple announced Holmes was pregnant in October 2005; on April 18, 2006, she gave birth to a baby girl, Suri Cruise. On November 18, 2006, she and Cruise were married in Italy, in a Scientology ceremony.

Janet Jackson is the daughter of Joseph and Katherine Jackson. They lived in Gary, Indiana, where her five brothers-Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael started out as the Jackson 5.The success of the group allowed the family to move to Southern California in a gated mansion names Hayvenhurst in Encino, California in 1971.
Growing up, Janet had no desire to become involved in the entertainment industry. She wanted to become a horse jockey. But, when the success of the Jackson 5 began to diminish, Joseph brought all of his kids into the spotlight. She made her first performance at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. There she became a star, imitating celebrities such as Cher, Marie Osmond, Toni Tennille, and Mae West.
In 1976, the Jacksons caught the eye of CBS president Fred Silverman. He was trying to find a new act to replace The Sonny & Cher show. So, on June 16, 1976, the Jacksons show became the first African-American variety show on television. It ran for two seasons.
Her first album, self titled, Janet Jackson, spent 45 weeks on the chart's top 50. It was produced by soul singers Angela Winbush and Rene Moore, along with monster producer Leon F. Sylvers III. It was not as successful on the Billboard chart. The album sold more than one million copies worldwide since the time of its release.
In 1984, Jackson released a second album, titled Dream Street. It was produced by her brother Marlon and famed disco produced Giorgio Moroder. It reached 19th on the R&B chart and sold about 300,000 units in the United States and 1,000,000 worldwide. In February of 1986, Control was released. It produced five top 5 singles, including "When I Think Of You", "What Have You Done For Me Lately", and "The Pleasure Principle". Her music videos played a huge part in the success of the album. In 1991, Jackson and longtime boyfriend, Rene Elizondo Jr. secretly married in a private ceremony. The marriage was a secret for almost a decade.
Jackson signed a $40 million record contract with Virgin Records in 1992, making it the largest
recording deal in history. Her first album, janet.,on her new label, kicked off with a ballad. "That's The Way Love Goes" went straight to number 1 in the Billboard Hot 100. The album also produced five other Top 10 singles. 1995 brought Design of a Decade 1986/1996. It included mostly songs from her A&M Contract, with two new songs, "Runaway" and "Twenty Foreplay."
In 1996, she resigned with Virgin for $80 million. The Velvet Rope brought her hit single, "Got
Till It's Gone", a sample from a Joni Mitchell classic, Big Yellow Taxi. While making this album, Janet has said she suffered from clinical depression. She also returned with a new image, including piercings and tattoos.
Jackson released her seventh album, All for You, which debuted at number one. She won her fifth Grammy Award because of the album. She also scored a Top 40 single with "Son of a Gun (I Betcha Think This Song Is About You)". Missy Elliot later remixed the sing, making it her last single from the All for You album.
