How Did We Miss This?

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson welcomed a beautiful and very healthy baby girl to the family on May 1st, 2012. Baby Maxwell Drew Johnson weighed in at 9 lbs., 13 oz., and measured at 21 ¾ inches. On Simpson’s website the following day, she wrote: “We are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives.”

The chosen name for their newest addition has a special meaning with the couple. Baby Maxwell was named after her maternal grandmother from Eric’s side of the family. Simpson’s mother Tina, whose maiden name is Drew, also played a role when the couple selected their baby girls middle name.

In November of 2010, the couple got engaged just six months after dating. Simpson, 31, and Johnson, 32, have yet to set a wedding date and had planned to hold off walking down the aisle until Maxwell was born. The big news now will be setting a wedding date.

Celebrity Mother’s Say Enough is Enough!

What do Tori Spelling and Sarah Palin have in common? If it’s taking you a minute to guess the correct answer, look no further than Jessica Simpson’s pregnancy.

That’s right. These women are all defending the 31-year-old actress, telling the media to lay off with the harsh criticism about her weight gain and let her enjoy her first pregnancy.

Spelling, who is expecting her fourth child says, “When women are pregnant, people need to lay off. It’s a really special time and you should be able to deal with it in your own terms.” Unfortunately, not everyone is so easy on Simpson’s weight gain. Co-host Joy Behar, 69, of The View said, “Most women who are pregnant are not supposed to gain more than 25 pounds. She looks like she gained a lot more than that.”

This topic is creating quite a buzz around the nation. At her recent appearance on The Today Show, former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin told Matt Lauer, “I would have wanted to punch [Jessica’s critics] in the neck. It’s none of anybody else’s business how much weight I would gain.”

Jessica Simpson: Due Any Day Now

It was just this past October that Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson announced that they would be expecting their first child together. The recent unveiling of the baby’s gender has fans and speculators tracking Simpsons every move—and she is really reeling in her audience. What’s more: Simpson has also decided on a name for her baby girl, as revealed on the Ellen Show this past week. Maxwell. Maxwell has a close bond to the couple. It just so happens to be Eric’s middle name and his grandmother’s maiden name.

The couple will call their little girl “Maxi” for short, according to a family friend who also says that the name Zinfandel was a second option.

Going out with a Bang!

As December comes to a close, celebrity baby news seems to be more prevalent than ever before. To date, the list of celebrities expecting a child within the next few weeks/months ranges from the beautiful Beyoncé to mommy-to-be Jessica Simpson and many others in between. Angelina Jolie is not currently pregnant but admits that she and hubby Brad Pitt have not ruled out the thought of having more children. With seven and counting, the Brangelina crew might be the new-aged Brady Bunch. 

Last week, reports rolled in that Fantasia Barrino would be expecting her second child to accompany daughter Zion, 10. From American Idol to Dancing With the Stars winner J.R Martinez, it seems as though celebrities from the far west to the north east and from the deep south are on the plus one list for the upcoming year.

Fans around the world who are inspired by the soft, sweet tunes of Eric Church, 34, were thrilled to hear that he and wife Katherine welcomed a baby boy on October 3rd of this year. It wasn’t until yesterday that the media got their first glimpse at the southern cutie, Boone McCoy Church. According to Church in a recent interview with PEOPLE, “Everyone always tells you what an awesome and unique experience being a parent is, but words can never do the feeling justice,” he said.

First Mariah Carey, now Jessica Simpson

How do celebrity moms tend to look better after pregnancy than they did before having a child? There is no doubt that being under intense scrutiny by adoring fans and the mass media has something to do with how fast these hot celebrity moms whip themselves back into shape. The transformation from pregnancy to slim and trim celebrity mom happens within the matter of months and sometimes even weeks.

It is reported that Jessica Simpson has just signed a deal with Weight Watchers worth an alleged $3 million to be the new spokeswoman. But, didn’t we just see this with Mariah Carey? Carey, the 41-year-old new mother to twins dropped an astounding amount of weight after pregnancy with the help of Jenny.

Simpson, 31, has taken a lot of criticism for past weight gain but now that the Dukes of Hazzard hottie is eating for two she is turning a negative into a positive and taking control. Simpson’s plans to marry fiancé Eric Johnson after having the baby could also be an incentive to lose the pregnancy poundage.

Crazy Celebrity Cravings

There is no doubt about it that this year began with a few a kicks. Baby kicks that is, in the stomachs of our favorite celebrity mommies and mommies-to-be! But much more was going on in their growing baby bumps. A craving for the most absurd and unheard of food combinations that quenched the hunger of the soon-to-be celebrity cuties lurked and here is what they craved:

Jay-Z has his work cut out for him as he gets ready to be a first time father to his soon-to-be. But that’s not the only thing he is enduring. According to a source at The Sun, Beyoncé has been eating foods less than desirable to most that would make any person watching sick to their stomach. The stars cravings include: Oreos with gherkins, ice cream treats with hot chili sauce, and bananas dipped in ketchup

Who doesn’t like pizza? Jessica Simpson no longer enjoys the taste of pizza since she began carrying fiancé Eric Johnson’s baby. According to Simpson, pizza has suddenly begun to “taste sour” but there is one thing that quenches her cravings. “I crave cantaloupe like a crazy person,” Simpson told PEOPLE, “but I put salt all over it, so I don’t know if it’s that healthy. I crave anything salty and sweet. That mixture to me is so good. I can eat a whole cantaloupe in one morning.”

Although Britney has already had her fare share of pregnancies and is not in sight of another, at least for the coming months, she craved something different than any concoction that could be made within the comfort of her home; she had to walk outside to get her fix: Dirt.

Jessica Simpson – Is officially a “Mummy”

It’s official! Jessica Simpson is pregnant. After months of speculation and tons of pictures of the blonde beauty with a growing baby bump, it has finally been confirmed. The star has reportedly been waiting for a big pay out before she revealed whether or not she was pregnant. Simpson and fiancé, former NFL player Eric Johnson, have been dating for over two years and became engaged last November. Simpson put a funny twist on the reveal of her pregnancy via twitter on Monday and said, “It’s true — I’m going to be a mummy!” while posting a photo of herself cradling her baby bump and dressed as a mummy for Halloween. We give her extra points for her clever and witty spin.


While Simpson has faced a lot or speculation from the press over the past few years, after being dumped by Tony Romo, and ridiculed for her up and down weight, this is certainly news we thought she would want to share. Maybe she was struggling for some privacy, or just looking for the money? Either way – Simpson is officially pregnant and it is certainly a time for her and fiancé to rejoice while bringing a precious gift into the world.

Is it True, Could Jessica Simpson be Expecting?

Jessica Simpson is reportedly expecting to add motherhood to her long list of credentials. The 31 year old actress, singer, song-writer, television personality and fashion designer just might be a soon-to-be mommy!

In Touch Weekly is saying that Jessica is expecting her first child with fiancé, Eric Johnson.
The fashionista was out of sorts when spotted recently at an airport in Los Cabos, Mexico wearing loose-fitting tops and her recognizable daisy-dukes. What is even more interesting, according to In Touch, is that Jessica sent back her glass of champagne during her fiancés birthday celebration! Along with her choice to cut alcoholic beverages from her diet, Jessica has been quenching her cravings by munching on nacho chips dipped in chocolate. Pregnancy would be a great excuse for those new eating habits!
