Steve Jobs: A Jack of All Trades and Better Yet, a Father

Steve Jobs, 56, was an American entrepreneur and inventor. In his lifetime, Steve, a college drop-out, managed to make his way to the top. He was co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple, Inc., a billion dollar industry. Within this time at Apple, Jobs managed to keep his family life and earnings low key to avoid media interference of his daily life. Holding his highly regarded position at Apple came easy for Jobs but the end of his career was an uphill battle. Yesterday, October 5th, 2011, Steve Jobs passed away, leaving behind a beautiful family and a great deal of knowledge that went into all Apple products.
In 1991, Steve married wife Laurene Powell, the love of his life. Prior to his marriage with Laurene, Jobs married a Bay Area painter by the name of Chrisann Brennan, giving him his first child in 1978, Lisa Brennan-Jobs. Steve and Laurene have a son and two daughters; Reed, Erin and Eve. Steve Jobs was not only an amazing business man but a great father as well. He looks a lot after his kids and their education; for example, he goes to parents meetings, forbids them to watch TV, and makes sure they eat healthy food.
In 2005, Jobs was interviewed about his life and his battle with cancer. In the interview he stated: “That was one of the things that came out most clearly from this whole experience [with cancer]. I realized that I love my life. I really do. I’ve got the greatest family in the world, and I’ve got my work. And that’s pretty much all I do. I don’t socialize much or go to conferences. I love my family, and I love running Apple, and I love Pixar. And I get to do that. I’m very lucky.” That’s how he envisioned his life.
