Mariska Hargitay and her husband Peter Hermann are doing fine after the birth of thier beautiful baby boy! The boy, named, August was born on June 28th 2006. This is the couples first child. Hargitay, 42 and Hermann were wed in August 2004.

The happy mom gained 55 pounds while pregnant, and insists she didn't feel pressure to loose the baby weight. She even said she was happy with her post-baby curves! Because of the baby's sensitive stomach, Mariska didn't have any problems letting the baby curves go. She had to cut down on her dairy, sugar and wheat intake. That meant no more chocolate and potato chips! We're sure he won't miss any of that chocolate with all the wonderful baby gifts he probably recieved!

On August 2006, Mariska won her first Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as a detective on Law & Order: SVU.
