Kevein Federline (aka Mr. Spears) is best known for his marriage to Pop Princess, Britney Spears. But he wants to break away from that stereotype. He says he's his own man and wants to be taken seriously as a rapper. His CD "Playing With Fire" debuts this week.

Federline was once a back up dancer for Pink, Michael Jackson, Destiny's Child, and even N'Sync. He and Britney met briefly when Spears was 16 and Federline was 20. Then, when they met again, in 2004, he says "it was love at first sight."

Kevin was still dating his long-time girlfriend, Shar Jackson, who is the mother to Kevin's first two children Kaleb and Kori. Kevin and Britney "fell in love" while Shar and Kevin where still dating, so the media immediately gave Kevin a bad rap. He received even more heat when he and Spears wed two months after Shar gave birth to Kaleb.

While dating, Spears and Federline made fools of themselves by videotaping their lives for the whole world to watch on UPN. Fortunately, the show didn't last, and they soon became the target of all jokes. The world was in shock when they found out America's sweetheart took up chain smoking, and freely exploited her sex life with a back up dancer who was already in a relationship with another woman.

After marrying Britney, Kevin really got into music. He said "it was always in the back of my mind since I was young." So in short, he claims that Britney didn't have anything to do with his music career, and he even went on to say that he paid for his own album with his own money. How sweet of Britney to give Kevin an allowance!

All in all, when it comes down to it, Kevin says he's a family man. He changes diapers, and disciplines his kids. He wants to be close with his children just like his parents were with him. Kevin's real hope is that, in the future, his children will look up to him.
