Even after the Tom Cruise and Brooke Shields battle last year, the two ladies have decided to be friends. Cruise has since apologized to Shields about her use of medication during her post-partum depression phase. Brooke and Katie met up at a charity event this past week in California. People magazine reports that they two gals "were so lovely with each other."

The two moms gave birth to their daughters, Suri and Grier, on the same day, at the same L.A. hospital on April 18. Shields confirmed that Brooke, 41, and Kaite, 27, are "absolutely" friends on an interview with Access Hollywood. Looks like play dates are in Suri and Grier's future!
