Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have moved to New Orleans. According to US Weekly magazine, they plan to send their three children to school there. Pitt and Jolie's rep could not be reached for a comment.
"We love it there," Jolie said at the Golden Globe awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Monday. "The kids are going to go to school there. We're really looking forward to it."
US Weekly claims on January 11th, the couple purchased a $3.5 million, six-bed mansion in New Orleans French Quarter. This is the couple's fourth home.
One diner at a Decatur Street restaurant told the magazine he saw Jolie quietly mixing with the locals the day after she and Pitt moved to town. Sources also say Angelina plans on keeping a low profile in her new home town, coincidentally, where Brad is currently shooting his latest film, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
"She's interested in befriending normal moms so she can do things with the kids," one source told the magazine, adding that the couple also hopes to raise awareness for the hurricane-devastated Gulf Coast region.
"They think it is important to be there right now" and are already looking to get more involved in local charity work, the source said. According to US Weekly, construction is set to start this month on 20 environment-friendly homes Pitt has jointly commissioned with the group Global Green USA.
Jolie has said they have no plans to marry but are committed to raising their three children together. Their celebrity babies include Maddox, 5, Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 8 months. Posted 2:00pm EST 01-17-2007
