John C. McGinley traded in his white coat for a black tie over the weekend, marrying his yoga instructor, Nichole Kessler. E! reports the couple were married in an intimate Malibu setting, while exchanging their vows.

Kessler, 34, was accompanied by McGinley's nine year old son, Max, down the aisle. Max is from McGinley's previous marriage to Lauren Lambert, whom he actually accredits to connecting with Kessler.

Kessler walked down the aisle in a Le Spose Di dress while carrying a bouquet of Dutch peonies. As for the reception, guests were treated to sushi at nearby hot-spot Nobu Malibu and feasted on a three tier wedding cake from Mani's Bakery.

McGinley asked Kessler to marry him last August. He popped the question in their shared Malibu garden. "I wanted to show her some different flower ideas I had," he said at the time. "And I had the rock in my pocket. I told her, 'Sit down there to see the view of the ocean,' and I said 'Will you marry me?' and I took out the rock."

He ended up giving Kessler a two carat round diamond ring, with the center stone- representing Kessler- surrounded by two one carat diamonds-representing McGinley and his son.

It is unclear though if any of McGinley's Scrubs co-stars attended the ceremony.
