Pax, the newly adopted son of Angelina Jolie was granted approval to have his name legally changed to Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt. A Santa Monica court approved it Thursday a court clerk confirms to People. 

He now has the last name of Angelina's 3 other children, Zahara, 2, Shiloh, 1, and Maddox, 5. Zahara and Maddox also had to go through the process of getting their last names changed in January 2006. Shiloh is the biological child of Angelina and Brad Pitt.

Pax was adopted from Vietnam in early March of this year. It is very hard for unwed couples to adopt from there so Angelina adopted him solo. Both Angelina and Brad are raising the child and felt he needed both of their names.
