Sofia Coppala in Tompkins Square Park

Marie-Antoinette director Sofia Coppola, spent the afternoon – and sharing some lunch – with her 7-month-old daughter Romy in New York's Tompkins Square Park. As for the little girl, mom is the daughter of The Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola and a cousin of actors Nicolas Cage and Jason Schwartzman, who also starred in Marie Antoinette.
In 2004, she became the first American woman ever nominated for best director Oscar. The two other past Oscar nominees were Jane Campion who is a New Zealander and Lina Wertmüller who is Italian. Her first appearance on film was as the baby in the Baptism sequence in The Godfather (1972).
