Nicole Richie was sentenced to 4 days in jail after pleading guilty to a DUI. According to People, she also agreed to serve a three-year probation term, and must enroll in an alcohol education program. She was also fined $2,048.

On December 11, 2006, Richie was arrested for driving the wrong way on an L.A. freeway and failed a field sobriety test. She also admitted to smoking marijuana and taking Vicodin. The LA County Commissioner said today that "Someone could've gotten killed. You need to understand that driving under the influence is extremely dangerous." This is Nicole's 2nd DUI. She was convicted on one in 2003.

She must serve her time before September 28 but has no surrender date. Supposedly Nicole's pregnancy had nothing to do with the verdict and was not even mentioned in the hearing.
