Remembering A Legend

Merv Griffin passed away on Sunday at 82 years old from prostate cancer. He was a talk-show host and game-show producer. Many people from all different generations are mourning this tv legend.
Ryan Seacrest told People, "Merv was a dear friend, a mentor and my idol. He gave me my first break into show business, and for that I will forever be grateful. Merv is a true legend and will continue to be an inspiration." Many other people gave statements about Merv including Pat Sajack, Mrs. Regan, and Zsa Zsa Gabor.
The President and Mrs. Bush also expressed thier sadness. Bush said, "For over half a century, Merv Griffin entertained America. He was a man of innovation and energy who greeted challenges with laughter and determination."
He leaves behind an ex-wife, Julann Griffin, a son, Tony Griffin, a daughter-in-law Tricia, and two grandchildren, Farah and Donovan Mervyn. His family will be holding a private funeral for him on Friday.
