Rapper Foxy Brown was in court today for violating her probation. What she didn't expect was to be sent to Rikers Island prison.

Foxy was on probation for assault charges and violated her probation twice in recent weeks. In the hearing Judge Melissa Jackson remanded Foxy to the custody of the state until her next hearing on September 7, 2007 according to TMZ.

Hopefully, Foxy will be released after her next hearing so she's not having her baby in prison. She is 3-months pregnant as of today and does plan on getting married.

UPDATE: Stephen Morello of the Department of Corrections tells TMZ that Foxy will be housed at the Rose M. Singer Center, a women's jail on Rikers Island. Because of her celebrity status, she may be housed in a cell, as opposed to with other inmates, and could have an escort when she leaves her cell. She's in the facility right now and is undergoing the "intake" process.
