Celebritybabies.info has, to date, pretty much ignored the rumors surrounding the reported pregnancy of Britney "mother of all train wrecks" Spears, waiting for some official confirmation (say it ain't so!)

But now that the story is taking on new twists and turns, we decided to let our loyal readers in on the juice.

In Touch Weekly magazine reported a few days ago that they had confirmation from the baby's father, music producer JR Rotem, that the pop star was pregnant with her third child. The New York Post weighed in, reporting that Spears had informed friends on November 14 that she was four weeks pregnant. She is even supposed to have sent around shots of the ultrasound.

The following day, Spears texted Ryan Seacrest's LA radio show, stating that "It's B.S" (was she calling the story fake or identifying herself by her initials?)

"I don't know who made it up. J.R. doesn't even know what's up. It's fake, completely fake," Spears wrote.

But In Touch Weekly upped the stakes today by releasing text messages reportedly sent from Rotem's BlackBerry. According to the magazine, when asked about rumors about Britney's pregnancy and whether he is the father, J.R. texted "It's true." When pressed on what Spears planned to do about the unplanned pregnancy, Rotem responded, "No clue on what she will do. She is unpredictable."

In Touch even publishes 'documented proof'–photos of the alleged messages.

The magazine insists that "the music producer did indeed confirm in these text messages that Britney is pregnant and that he is the father."

Hmmm. Was Rotem's denial just to appease Spears? Is it all a publicity ploy? We'll have to see how this drama plays out. Watch this space for updates.
