Most Popular Baby Names of 2007
10 12 2007Used to be that parents would grab a name from a relative and smack it on their newborn. Not anymore. Modern parents are putting more and more time and research into what they name their baby, realizing that it could have an impact on the child's future. Many parents choose unusual names so their child can stand out from the crowd.
Babynames.com has released the most popular baby names this year. The top three names given to baby girls in 2007 are Ava, Abigail, and Cailyn. For the first time in six years, the name Madison did not make it into the top 20.
Curious enough, the boys have a rhyming trifecta of Aiden, Braden, and Kaden. The name Jaden dropped from number four last year, to number 7 in 2007. The name Hayden fell out of the top 20 entirely. BabyNames.com founder & CEO, Jennifer Moss, speculates that people have come to think of it as a girl's name with the rising fame of actress Hayden Panettiere, from the TV show 'Heroes.'
And take another look at that gorgeous fella in the photo above. He is none other than Noah, the 6-month-old son of April, Director of Graphics at BabyAge. Isn't he just the most adorable cutie pie?
If you had a baby this year, what did you name him or her and why?

If i had a baby this year and it was a girl I would name her Madison Lyn. Madison because my husband and I had a miscariage and if it was a girl her name was going to be Eden Madison. And Lyn after my grandma Lyn. If it were a boy his name would be Max Gavin Jr. after my husband
Had a baby April 28th and named her Zoë
Had a baby boy on 2-4-07 and his name is Landen Lee.
Congratulations, Samantha! That’s a very strong, authoritative boy’s name.
Great choice!
I named my newest family member Reed Alexavier Johnson. He was born 9-5-07 and joins brother Matthew Philip, sister Charlee Jean, and brother Wyatt McArthur.
