The baby bug has had a banner year. The latest celeb to be bitten is chart-topping British pop singer Lily Allen, 22, who is expecting her first child with 37-year-old Chemical Brothers musician Ed Simons, her boyfriend of three months.

A spokesman confirmed the pregnancy, which is reportedly at "a very, very early stage." the BBC reports.

The singer is due to release an album and front a new TV talk show next year.
