Royal Baby Goes Home
20 12 2007The "small, cute and cuddly," but still name-free baby boy born Monday to Prince Edward and his wife Sophie returned home with the royal couple today.
The baby boy, Queen Elizabeth the Second's eighth grandchild, weighed 6lb 2oz when he was delivered by Caesarean section.
As they left the hospital, the couple, who are Earl and Countess of Wessex, were greeted with cheers and claps from nurses watching from a window and a small crowd that had gathered.
A palace spokeswoman said that although they were “narrowing it down” there was still no news yet on a name for the baby. They are expected to join the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh and other members of the Royal Family at Sandringham over Christmas.
