Croc Hunter’s Son Bitten by Boa Constrictor
19 02 2008Robert Irwin's only four years old, but Crikey! He's not fazed by a lil' ol' snakebite!
The son of the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, was attacked by a baby boa constrictor. Irwin's widow, Terri, says the young daredevil "picked one of them up and it bit him on the finger, and he was so proud to have copped his first hit."
"He said, 'I hope it wasn't venomous,' so I assured Robert I wouldn't actually let him play with venomous snakes," Terri said.
But Robert's used to being around potentially dangerous creatures. Remember when he was one month old, his dad held him in his arms while feeding a snapping crocodile.
Irwin died tragically in September 2006 when he was stabbed in the heart with a stingray barb. He was 44.
It's good to see that Terri is not overprotecting her kids as a result. We may have a Croc Hunter II in Robert.
