Celebrity chef, Giada De Laurentiis, gave birth this weekend in LA, to a 5lb. 13oz baby girl.

De Laurentiis, 37, and husband Todd Thompson, 44, named their first child Jade Marie De Laurentiis Thompson.

The Food Network star and Today show contributor had said that her pregnancy was a surprise.

Jade is the great-grandaughter of famed film producer, Dino De Laurentiis.

“When I found out I was pregnant I was in complete shock,” De Laurentiis said last November, when the baby news was first announced. “I truly didn’t believe it. I honestly thought, ‘There has got to be a mistake.’ ”

Congratulations! With a chef for a mom, a clothing designer for a dad and a film producer for a great grandfather, Jade will likely turn out to be highly creative and famous herself!
