Matthew McConaughey and his girlfriend of two years, Camila Alves, welcomed a son Monday night. According to People, the baby was born at 6:22 p.m. in Los Angeles, weighing in at 7 lbs., 4 oz.

This is the first child for both Matt and Camila. Back in January, Matt blogged: “We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come in raising this child, being a mother and a father, and sheparding him or her through this life.”
