The daughter of late actor Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams, Matilda Rose, will inherit her father’s entire estate of $16.6 million, according to Perth, Australia’s Sunday Times.
The Brokeback Mountain star and most recently, The Dark Knight, passed away last January of a prescription drug overdose at the age of 28.
His parents and his sisters were originally named as the beneficiaries in his will, before the birth of his daughter in 2006. Now, Heath’s family will not fight for the money in the courts, but allow Matilda to receive the entire amount of money. Recently, both Michelle’s and Heath’s families vowed to contribute an unknown amount of money to a scholarship fund to help young Australian actors and honor the memory of Heath.
