It’s a baby girl for Tim Allen! The actor best known as the host of Tool Time and his wife Jane welcomed daughter Elizabeth Allen on Saturday, March 28th.The pregnancy was announced in January.

Elizabeth will join older sister Katherine, 19, causing 55 year-old Tim Allen to joke, “The older you get, the less you know.” He will have to buy nursery items and diapers all over again!

The daytime serial Guiding Light has had a recent baby boom! Daniel Cosgrove and wife Marie welcomed their fourth child on March 4th. The newborn boy was named Finnian Jack Cosgrove and joins big sisters Lily, Esme Rose, and Ruby Willow.

In February, Bradley Cole welcomed his baby girl Maya Joan. Furthermore, Jessica Leccia is pregnant with her first child and due in June.

Irish actress Elaine Cassidy is pregnant! This will be the first child with her husband, Stephen Lord.

Don’t know Elaine Cassidy? Elaine Cassidy has the lead role in the anticipated CBS show, Harper’s Island. Harper’s Island is a horror/drama with a central murder mystery. Abby Mills of Los Angeles returns to the island where her mother was killed to attend a wedding. Attendants of the wedding then begin to die one by one. The series will premiere in April.

Aiden Turner, also known as Aidan Devane on All My Children, has announced that he and his wife Megan Marshall are expecting! Megan is actually four months pregnant with their child already. This will be the first child for the couple married in April, 2006. Aiden has also confided with the press that the newborn will be a little girl.

Former Project Runway contestant Kara Janx is pregnant! Actually, more like seven months pregnant. The award-winning designer and her husband Sharone Sohayegh are due to have a baby boy in June. The baby boy will join big sister Dylan to play in the mini-nursery Kara has set up at work where she designs for her own line, Kara Janx. I wonder if we shall see some baby apparel designed by the Kara Janx line.

It’s an early first child for Melissa Howard Beck! Due March 25th, baby girl Shalom Mazie Beck was born on Friday, March 20th. Melissa, Real World: Orleans cast member and her husband Justin Beck, the guitarist for Glassjaw, announced the pregnancy in September.

To share the good news, Melissa wrote on Twitter about the experience of birth: “So 26 hours of labor, surviving only on ice-chips + 4 hrs of pushing + 1 epidural = STILL the SINGLE best thing that has ever happened to me.”

A few weeks ago, rumors circulated all over the internet that rapper, MIA, had named her newborn son Ickitt. The rapper quickly took to her blog to dispel any rumors claiming that she did not name her son Ickitt.

Now, celebrity news website, TMZ, is claiming that they have obtained a copy of MIA’s son’s birth certificate. Well, the baby’s name may not be Ickitt but it sure sounds pretty close, Ikhyd Edgar Arular Bronfman.

This is the first child for MIA and fiancé Benjamin Bronfman. The baby was born only a few days after MIA’s amazing performance at the Grammy’s back in February.

Former Bachelor star, Andrew Firestone and his wife Ivana welcomed their first baby into the world. Andrew Brooks Firestone was born on Saturday March 21 at 6:48 a.m. The happy couple revealed to US Weekly that his middle name honors his paternal grandfather.

In a statement after the birth, the proud father said, “Ivana and my son are doing well. Everyone is healthy and happy. I am ecstatic about being a father.”

The pregnancy was announced back in September with Andrew explaining that the newlyweds (who wed in June) were looking forward to a delivery surprise.

Patrick Wilson and actress wife Dagmara Dominczyk have announced Dagmara’s second pregnancy! Watchmen’s actor for Nite Owl II is excited about the baby’s expected due date in June.  After gaining all that weight for the film, he now gets to watch the growing belly of his wife and new baby! He will have to start working on building the nursery now. The new baby will join big brother Kalin Patrick in the family.

The official baby belly debut is here! Mom-to-be Nicole Richie was all smiles while showing off her pregnant bump in a fitted t-shirt Wednesday evening. The 27 year old attended the “What Goes Around” Fall 2009 Collection launch at Space 15 Twenty in Los Angeles, California.

Nicole and Joel Madden are expecting their second child in late August/early September. They are already the proud parents to 14 month old Harlow Winter Kate.

Late night talk show host Carson Daly, 35, and his girlfriend Siri Pinter are new parents! The couple welcomed a son, Jackson James Daly, on Sunday, March 15. The little boy weighed in at 7 pounds, 8 ounces, according to People.

A rep for the couple stated, “Parents are both ecstatic. They have a happy and healthy baby boy.”

With Carson being such an avid cyclist, “friends are already looking for bike helmets for the little one,” the rep joked back in November when the pregnancy was announced.

Quite a few athletes have welcomed new additions to their families lately, so just a quick update for those who are curious:

On Tuesday, March 3rd, former Seahawks and Washington Redskins player Shaun Alexander and his wife Valerie welcomed a baby boy! Joseph Prince Alexander joins big sisters Heaven, 5, Trinity, 3 ½, and Eden Grace, 2, after the pregnancy was announced in September.

Olympic gymnast gold-medalist Dominique Moceanu Canales and former gymnast Mike Canales welcomed a baby boy on Friday, March 13th. Vincent Michael Canales joins big sister Carmen Noel, 14 months, after the pregnancy was announced in September.

After retiring from professional golf in December, Annika Sorenstam is married and pregnant! No due date is announced yet.

With so many new celebrity babies, I’m trying not to forget anyone. So a quick update for those curious fans, a few television stars have announced their pregnancies and are now expecting to grow their families:

For all Law & Order fans, Jeremy Sisto’s fiancée Addie Lane is pregnant! Addie is already seven months into her pregnancy, and the couple already knows the baby will be a girl.

Marley Shelton, also known as Special Agent Rachel Young on the Eleventh Hour drama, and her husband producer Beau Flynn are expecting a baby!

Former Angel and Buffy star, and current Bones star David Boreanaz and wife Jaime Bergman are expecting! The baby is due in September and will join big brother Jaden Rayne.

Maxine Bahns of The Mentalist and her husband Patrick Watson welcomed a baby girl! Madison Rose Watson was born on Sunday, March 8th, after the pregnancy announcement in January.

James Daly was born Sunday night, March 15th.

Dancing With The Stars, fighting for The Bachelor, and finding love with Ryan on The Bachelorette, Trista Nicole Sutter is a superstar and a mother. Furthermore, she is a pregnant mother. Trista and Ryan are expecting a little girl in April, to join their first child, Maxwell Alston Sutter. In preparation of her little girl, Trista has requested a Baby Jogger City Elite Single, a luxury stroller. Baby Jogger is known for durability, but the City Elite is also like a baby limousine. There are several storage compartments for the parent and a large sun canopy with clear side windows for baby. A luxurious baby stroller for this well-known couple reflects the path of their acquaintance.

When you ask No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani what she has been doing recently and her answer will be, “I’ve been making babies!” In an interview with Detroit’s Mojo in the Morning, the mom said that her laid-back lifestyle since completing her last tour is about to head down a new path as she and husband, Gavin Rossdale, both prepare for world tours.

6 month old Zuma Nesta Rock will also be gearing up for the ride with his rocker mother who is worry-free when it comes to her “sweet, chunky” little boy. The same is not true for 2 ½ year old Kingston. “King has [a] really big opinion about what we do, so we’ll figure it out,” the mother of two shares. “We’ll pretty much be going to all the zoos and different places on our days off.”

Even though Gwen cannot wait to take her little ones on the road, she sometimes misses the old days. “Some days I miss the old selfish touring days where you just sleep all day, but those days are gone. I just need to accept it.”

During the interview, she was asked about Zuma’s unusual name choice. She reference Zuma Beach, California, a location “really close to where we live.” Gwen also mentioned that the idea came from No Doubt member, Tom Dumont, whose wife was also expecting a baby around the same time. She said that while No Doubt was working on a new record Tom and her were swapping baby names when Tom mentioned the name Zuma. “I kind of stole it from him…I didn’t steal it, I mean his wife didn’t want it. It was just one of those things that happened. I just wanted [Zuma] to have a little bit of a quirky name,” Gwen stated.
