It’s a boy! Last Comic Standing star Ralphie May and wife, comedian Lahna Turner, welcomed a baby boy on Wednesday, June 24th in Tennessee. Baby boy August James May joins big sister April June May.

Ugly Betty star Ana Ortiz’s baby girl arrived Saturday, June 27th in New York City! Ana and husband Noah Lebenzon chose the name Paloma Louise Lebenzon for their baby girl, working from a list of five choices. Ana informed People that they wanted to spend some time with the newborn before officially picking a name to fit the baby’s personality. Paloma is the first child for the couple.

Actress Rachel Griffiths and husband Andrew Taylor welcomed a baby girl! The Brothers and Sisters star announced the pregnancy in January as a delivery surprise. No other details were released by the rep besides that the newborn was a girl. The baby girl joins brother Banjo Patrick and sister Adelaide Rose.

TLC has announced a halt in production of Jon & Kate Plus 8 until August 3. So we won’t be seeing the lives of the toddlers too much for a while. Next week’s episode will contain new footage combined with old clips. On Monday, Jon and Kate filed papers for legal separation in Pennsylvania. Both Jon and Kate released statements concerning the divorce.

Kate: “Over the course of this weekend, Jon’s activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children. While there are reasons why it was appropriate and necessary for me to initiate this proceeding, I do not wish to discuss those reasons at this time, in the hope that all issues will be resolved amicably between Jon and myself. As always, my first priority remains our children.”

Jon: “This afternoon, Kate filed for divorce. Our kids are still my number one priority. I love them and want to make sure they stay happy, healthy and safe. My job is being the best, most supportive and loving father that I can be to my kids, and not being married to Kate doesn’t change that.”

TLC states, “TLC continues to support the Gosselin family and will work closely with them to determine the best way to continue to tell their story as they navigate through this difficult time.” It would be assumed the current halt in production is due to the well-being of the children during a difficult and emotional moment for the family. The eight children do not need to have their pain broadcasted on television.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick welcomed their baby girls!  Twin girls Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge were born via surrogate Monday afternoon on June 22nd in Ohio. Double the trouble and the baby apparel! Marion and Tabitha will join big brother James Wilkie in the family.

The pregnancy was announced in April, which led to such an invasion of privacy to the surrogate mother by the public that Sarah Jessica asked the public in May to respect the woman’s privacy.

Soap stars Kyle Lowder and Arianne Zucker announced that Arianne is pregnant! This will be the first child for the couple, married in 2002. The baby is due in December. Some Days of Our Lives fans may be disappointed and others overjoyed by the fact that the pregnancy will not be written into the show, though featuring a baby shower on the show would have been amazing.

Scrubs will be welcoming a baby to the staff! People was informed that Judy Reyes, also known as nurse Carla, is pregnant! This will be the first child for Judy and boyfriend, director George Valencia.

As The World Turns star Maura West and husband, actor Scott DeFreitas welcomed their fourth child together. The baby girl, named Birdie West DeFreitas, arrived Tuesday, June 16th. The newborn is Maura’s fifth child overall, joining stepbrother Benjamin Crawford and siblings Joseph Peter, Katherine Marie, Basil John. The pregnancy was announced in January.

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen is pregnant! After a week of speculation about pictures with Gisele sporting a bump, sources tell People that Gisele is pregnant and due the beginning of next year.

“You know Gisele and Tom are just enjoying themselves, being married and just doing their thing … Gisele has been talking about it with friends. She says she’s ready for a family.”

Gisele is married to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and this will be their first child together.

They “pulled off the greatest miracle in the world one more time.” Next year will be “double the fun” for the family with two children.

Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels and former Survivor: The Amazon participant Heidi Strobel are expecting their first child! Comcast Sports Net revealed that the baby will arrive at the end of the summer. The two had been planning to complete an international adoption in the winter, but the pregnancy has delayed plans.

Baby births continue to be announced via Twitter! Indy driver Alex Lloyd announced through Twitter the birth of baby girl Bethany Amelia Lloyd on Tuesday afternoon, June 2. The newborn took some time- wife Samantha was due on May 24- and Alex offered updates as the couple watched Anchorman while waiting. Bethany arrived eventually, and Alex tweets “Starting her off right… Born to Ron Burgundy.” Bethany is Alex and Samantha’s second daughter, joining big sister Ava (photo), almost 2.

Kendra Wilkinson hopes for a baby boy in December, to protect a future little sister! The former Girls Next Door star and fiancé Hank Baskett have big plans for their future family. “We definitely want another kid right away because we want the two kids to be close in age,” she told E!. “We want four, but you know, we are taking it one step at a time. We’re concentrating on our first child and seeing where things go from there.”

Kendra and Hank first found out about the pregnancy through a pregnancy test Kendra took at the airport. Family and friends were informed during Kendra’s bridal shower. Hugh Hefner was also informed immediately, and will be the newborn’s Godfather. Kendra exclaimed “Hef will be, ‘The Godfather!’”

This expecting mom is busy with planning the wedding, working on her new show Kendra, and living the life of a pregnant woman. “God, they hate me right now,” she joked about her drivers. “I’ve thrown up in almost every limo that has taken me out in the last week.” The baby is due Christmas Day.

On Live with Regis and Kelly, co-host Kelly Ripa and guest Marcia Gay Harden revealed that their children attend the same school! Kelly is mother to Michael Joseph, 12, Lola Grace, 8, and Joaquin Antonio, 6. Marcia is mother to 5-year-old twins Julitta Dee and Hudson Harden, plus daughter Eulala Grace, 10. The corresponding conversation included discussions of bake sales and homework for the two working mothers.

Eulala has a dressing room adjacent to her mother, recently starring in God of Carnage on Broadway, in which to work on schoolwork. “I’ll be…putting my makeup on, and going ‘Okay how about that math problem? Which I have no idea to do anyway,” Marcia explained on the show, and Kelly added, “The problem of the week! It’s murder.”

It’s hectic, but Marcia enjoys her career and family life, and how the two work together. “I know when I first came to New York City and I wanted to be an actress I didn’t know what having a family and being an actress would be like. But it’s like any other working mother…You kind of fit them in here and there and you make it work.” Kelly and Marcia are working mother success stories.
