On October 30th, Mel Gibson and his girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva welcomed a new baby girl into the world.  The hospital where the birth took place was undisclosed.  The baby was named Lucia.

According to a friend, ““Everything is great! They couldn’t be happier.  Everyone’s healthy and thrilled. He loves it!”  Gibson was present for the birth of the baby as well as for the ride home, but soon after flew to New York for the rest of filming for The Beaver, costarring Jodie Foster.  Gibson has seven children with his ex-wife Robyn and Oksana has a son, Alexander, with her ex-boyfriend, Timothy Dalton.

Now that the baby is home, I’m sure the nursery is full of love.  Let’s hope Oksana stocked up on plenty of diapers!
