Amanda Peet Skips Show to Deliver Daughter

Amanda Peet was scheduled to talk about her recent film, Please Give, coming in theaters at the end of this month on the Late Show with David Letterman Tuesday but was unable to make it. What reason did she have? She was in labor with her second child.
Peet and screenwriter husband David Benioff delivered a healthy baby girl on Tuesday. After many disputes over a name, the parents decided on Molly June.
The couple also has a three-year-old little girl, Francis, who also contributed to the naming process, choosing to call the new baby Turtle.
Although Peet and Benioff did not use Francis’ suggestion, a nickname may be in store for her. The New York Post reports that Amanda Peet is the newest celebrity mommy! She and husband, "Troy" screenwriter David Benioff, welcomed their little addition, a girl, on Wednesday. Peet had planned on going to a lunch event in Hollywood, but went into labor instead. A rep has confirmed the birth but did not release any other information. The couple married in September.
