18-month-old Dannielynn Birkhead has been named the sole heir to the estate of her late mother, Anna Nicole Smith.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge, Mitchell Beckloff handed down the ruling yesterday. A trust was set up in Dannielynn's name, with her dad, Larry, and estate executor, Howard Stern, named as co-trustees.

The judge upheld a petition filed by Stern.

Anna Nicole drafted a will in 2001, five years before Dannielynn was born. Her only heir at the time was her son Daniel. When Daniel died three days after Dannielynn was born, followed shortly by his mother, the issue of who would legally inherit Anna Nicole's fortune became murky. If Anna Nicole's estate wins an ongoing court fight with the family of her late husband, J. Howard Marshall, then Dannielynn could stand to inherit millions of dollars.

Larry Birkhead and his 1-year-old daughter Dannielynn Smith are in talks about doing a reality tv show about their lives together. Dannielynn is the daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith, who also had a reality show. Us Magazine states that Larry said, “It's basically the day in the life of daddy duties.”

On Monday, September 10, Dannielynn Smith Birkhead turned one-year-old. Her father Larry Birkhead threw a party for her in Kentucky.

This is also the same day, in the same hospital, that her half brother Daniel died tragically at the age of 20. Her mother, Anna Nicole Smith went downward from this time on and died just five months later from a drug overdose.

According to TMZ, an official inquest into Daniel's death has still not begun, and its start date continues to be delayed.

Birkhead spent his first Father's Day with his 9-month-old daughter Dannielynn on Sunday. On Tuesday he was named guardian of the late Anna Nicole Smith's baby. "I spent lots of time with her," Birkhead said after the hearing. "Just private time. We had a great day."

They recently moved into Anna Nicole's LA mansion and everything in it will belong to Dannielynn. Howard Stern, Anna's then-boyfriend, was there to help Birkhead move in. The two were once rivals and fought over the baby's paternity. Now that everything is out, the two decided to be civil for Dannielynn's sake. Larry does not have a problem letting people from Anna's life see baby Dannielynn, including Howard.

"Honestly, for me, it was really hard," Stern told People. "I was with her when she picked out that house, and for me, pretty much every item brings back memories. And I'm still having problems even accepting the fact that Anna and Daniel are gone. Anna Nicole was my whole joy in life, my whole reason for being." Daniel was Anna's son that passed away at the age of 20.

Stern says that Dannielynn is "the most famous baby in America," but he hopes the attention will cool off: "Hopefully you will give her some respect and allow her to lead a normal life, or at least as normal of a life as possible."

Stern goes on to say that "Dannielynn seems just as happy as can be. I wish that Anna could see her now. It's just horrible that she can't."

Looks like Larry Birkhead is keeping Anna Nicole's Daughter, Dannielynn, from the spotlight. He had her covered with a blanket as he arrived at the Larry King Live show yesterday.

Larry Birkhead left the Bahamas to return to the United States with Anna Nicole Smith's daughter, Dannielynn, today.

Birkhead, 34, and the 7-month-old infant landed briefly in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., before continuing on to Louisville, Ky., where Birkhead's family lives according to Access Hollywood. Larry plans on staying in Louisville for a few weeks. Dannielynn met some of her family members and will continue to meet more.

Larry was waiting for the okay from a Bahama judge to bring the infant to the U.S. Also, there was a new birth certificate issued naming Birkhead as the father states the Associated Press. Howard K. Stern was on there before the death of Anna Nicole.

Virgie Arthur is the mother to the late Anna Nicole Smith. She took Larry Birkhead, the biological father to Dannielynn Smith, back to court again.

Virgie wants Birkhead to keep the baby in the Bahamas but he lives in the United States. She claims that he will fail to bring the baby back for a custody hearing set for June 8th. His lawyer says that he has every intention on following the law and going to the hearing.

The Bahamas judge ruled against Arthur and the jurists called her claim "weak". They ordered her to pay $3000 in attorney's fees for wasting the courts' time according to People. The ruling frees Birkhead to take the baby back to the United States. 

He'll leave for the U.S. with Dannielynn once he has her birth certificate corrected to list himself as the father instead of Howard Stern.

Stern was also at Friday's court session. According to People, he said he would back Birkhead for however many years it takes for the custody battle to be fought with Arthur. When asked if he would visit the child, Stern answered, "If Larry let's me."

Here are the first pictures of Anna Nicole Smith's baby, Dannielynn, and the biological father, Larry Birkhead. It was determined by a paternity test last week that he is the father not Howard Stern, Anna's former lawyer and boyfriend.

OK! magazine has exclusive rights to the pictures. All proceeds from the photos will be put in a trust fund for Dannielynn.

In the magazine, Birkhead reveals that just three days before Dannielynn's birth, Anna sent him an e-mail saying, "Don't fall in love again, I'd be a bit jealous." Interestingly, Birkhead states that contrary to what people may think, Howard K. Stern, has been "a great help" with the baby, but adds, "Howard did things for Anna that no one wanted to. I actually feel sorry for Howard."

As far as Anna's mother is concerned, Larry says Virgie's not his enemy. "If she wants to be a grandmother, she can be a grandmother, my mom wants to be a grandmother too, but I'm not going to sign a paper saying so, it's just not right."

There will be a custody hearing on Friday in the Bahamas.

TMZ has just announced that Larry Birkhead is indeed the father of 7 month old Dannielynn. Dr. Michael Baird released the DNA results to the judge moments ago. The probability of paternity is 99.9999%. Baird said, "essentially he (Birkhead) is the biological father."

Despite the tests, the parties will be back in court on Friday. TMZ believes that Virgie Arthur is going to fight for custody of baby Dannielynn.

As for Howard K. Stern, he said "I am obviously very disappointed…I am not going to fight Larry Birkhead for custody." He also added, "I will do everything I can to make sure he gets sole custody." Stern also said he would like the transaction to be "gradual" between Birkhead and Stern, so that Dannielynn can adjust.

Today could be the day when the DNA test results are announced to determine who the father of 7-month-old Dannielynn is. According to People, the results are widely expected to be revealed at a Supreme Court hearing, but Bahamian law prohibits lawyers and officials from discussing the case or what the dealing is about.

Howard K. Stern currently has custody of Dannielynn, but all can change in a matter of a few hours. Dannielynn's DNA was tested on March 21, but Stern tried to block the release of the results. But, last week dropped his appeal.

Regardless of who is the father, Dannielynn stands to inherit millions from the estate of Anna's late husband, J. Howard Marshall. Marshall died back in 1995, but up until her death on February 8, Anna has been battling Marshall's family over his $500 million fortune.

Hugh Hefner put a tribute to the Playboy Playmate, Anna Nicole Smith, in May's issue of the magazine. He also started a memorial online and a one-hour retrospective on Playboy TV. Hef says Anna "would appreciate" the tributes.

He wanted to make sure that he stated for the record to the Associated Press, "I can make clear at this time that I am not the father of the child." The child is Anna Nicole Smith's daughter, Dannielynn. He is the first guy not to claim paternity over the baby. Everyone wants a piece of Dannielynn's fortune left by her mother and her millionaire ex-husband.

Hef and his number one girl, Holly, are thinking about having one together though.

According to TMZ, the DNA results from Anna Nicole's body might be released today, revealing the age old question: Who is Dannielynn's father. But chances are the results won't be revealed just yet. Actually TMZ reports it probably won't be till next week.

The site also reports that in an attempt to block the DNA testing results, Howard K. Stern lost his appeal and was actually fined $10,000 for filing a frivolous claim. The New York Daily News reports the findings are cleared to be presented in Nassau by Dr. Michael Baird. Baird had conducted the testing.

Like we all figured, Howard Stern filed for an appeal regarding Dannielynn's paternity. It was court ordered for Howard to take Anna Nicole Smith's daughter for DNA testing at the last hearing and he did. Larry Birkhead also gave a sample. 

According to "Entertainment Tonight", the appeal will definitely delay the hearing that would reveal the results of the DNA testing which was set to happen on April 3. I was hoping the Howard wouldn't have appealed the case so Dannielynn could finally have some peace.

Larry Birkhead was spotted buying more clothes at a local baby store for Dannielynn. He must be absolutely sure that the baby is his and not Howard Stern's because this is not the first time he has been spotted buying baby stuff.

The long battle for paternity of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter, Dannielynn, should be over soon. Last week a judge ordered Howard to give up DNA so this saga can be over and the baby can be with the right guy. 

Anna Nicole Smith could still be alive, if she had been hospitalized prior to her death. According to People, a medical statement was issued Monday by Howard K. Stern saying she refused emergency medical care, fearing a "media frenzy."

After the results of Smith's autospy report on Monday, Broward County Medical Examiner Joshua Perper said that Smith had been suffering from the stomach flu, a 105 degree temperature, and an infection from repeatedly drug injections.

According to the Associated Press, Smith was also on other severe medications including: powerful sleeping drug, chloral hydrate; methadone; valium; several antidepressant and anti-anxiety drugs; longevity medications; vitamin B12; and growth hormones. She died form an accidental drug overdose.

If Smith got treatment for her flu, she might have been saved. Perper claims, "If she would have gone to the hospital she wouldn't have died because she wouldn't have had the opportunity to take the excessive amount of chloral hydrate."

According to a statement from Stern, Smith did not want to seek medical attention prior to her death because "she did not want the media frenzy that follows her."

Chloral hydrate is a known fatal drug, if taken with certain other drugs- including Lorazempam- which the autopsy showed Anna was taking, Dr. Chip Walls, a forensic toxicologist for the Miller School of Medicine at the Univesity of Miami, told the Associated Press.
