Anne Heche Welcomes a Boy

Many congratulations to Anne Heche and her husband James Tupper! Anne delivered a beautiful baby boy over the weekend. He weighed in at 6 pounds, 12 ounces according to PEOPLE. They named the baby Atlas Heche Tupper. The couple had announced the pregnancy back in December and confirmed in January that they would be having a boy. This is the second child for Anne who already has a 7 year old son Homer with her ex-husband and this is the first for James.

Homer wants to stay with mommy - Anne Heche

Laffoon and HecheAnne Heche denied claims from her ex-husband she's a bad parent, saying she has a close relationship with her 5-year-old son despite her show-business obligations.

"We hired a baby nurse before he was born, but before she came through our front door, I asked Coley to let her go," Heche writes in the filing. "I wanted the responsibility. I changed his diapers. I burped him. I bathed him. I held him close to my body all day, keeping him in a sling around me even when I was cooking or walking."

She maintained the mother-son bond, she says, even after she began shooting her TV series Men in Trees in Vancouver, where Homer would come for visits. The actress says that from the very beginning she bonded with their son.

"Homer has strong relationships with each of the cast members and a lot of the crew members who play with him," she writes. "Each director calls Homer the 'little director,' letting him call 'action' and 'cut' for my scenes."

But when Laffoon showed up, Homer "cried and screamed and wrapped his arms around my neck, and screamed, 'I wanna stay with mommy,'" Heche says.

Laffoon, 33, filed for divorce in February. In his court papers, he claimed Heche has made poor parenting decisions and has repeatedly demonstrated "bizarre and delusional behavior."

The two are scheduled for mediation June 5, and for a hearing on June 11.

Anne Heche’s Custody Battle

Coley Laffoon filed for divorce from Anne Heche in February 2007. Now he is fighting her for joint custody of their 5-year-old son, Homer.

According to TMZ, Coley filed court papers earlier this month in Los Angeles County Superior Court, asking for joint custody of their son. He claims that Anne's "bizarre and delusional behavior" and "poor parenting skills" could be a problem. In the papers, Laffoon claims that Anne once didn't put Homer in a car seat, she often curses in front of the child, and packed school lunches that Homer "did not like." Laffoon added that his prior experience as a nanny and a summer camp counselor justify giving him joint custody.

He wants $33,000 a month in spousal support even though before they got married he claims he was only making $6,000 a year as a videographer.

A spokesperson for Anne states that Laffoon is lying because Anne won't pay him the support. They also say that Laffoon refused to get a job to help financially support child care.

Men In Trees Stars Off Screen Romance

James Tupper and Anne Heche are officially a couple. Men In Trees hunk, James Tupper, told People that his off screen romance with Anne Heche didn't start until after they were both single. "The line was never crossed."

"McTreemy" states that he and Heche have trusted each other from the beginning and that they leaned on each other while their marriages were coming to an end. Tupper, 41, separated from his writer wife, Kate, last year but they remain good friends. In January, Heche,37, announced her separation from her husband of five years, Coley Laffoon. They have a five year old son together, Homer.

According to People, Tupper does want to have children of his own one day but says that he's not ready to rush into marriage but he says, "I've never met anyone like her. There's something really comforting when you can truly connect with someone and be understood. Isn't that what we all want?"

Anne Heche Divorcing

It was announced today that Anne Heche and her cameraman husband, Coleman Laffoon are divorcing, according to Heche's spokeswoman.  Heche and Laffoon (I can't say that name without chuckling) were married in September, 2001 and have a four year old son, Homer Heche Laffoon.

The couple met while Heche was in a high-profile relationship with Ellen DeGeneres; Laffoon was on the crew filming a documentary about DeGeneres.  This was also around the time Heche went off the deep end and was discovered roaming about town disheveled and later writing about her alter ego "Celestia" who was a daughter of God and half-sister to Jesus and her visitations with extraterrestrials in a book, "Call me Crazy"; OK, if you insist!
