Kerri and Casey Await a Baby Boy

Remember the pregnancy jokes where someone wore a beach ball under a shirt? Those usually inspired a laugh or a shake of the head. The USA beach volleyball players don’t have fake beach balls under their shirts however! Olympian Kerri Walsh is pregnant, players Rachel Wacholder Scott and Sean Scott welcomed baby boy Koa Daniel Scott on April 3rd, and coach and program manager Danalee Bragado Corso welcomed baby girl Camryn Bragado Corso April 20th. It’s a volleyball baby boom!

Kerri and her pro volleyball player husband Casey Jennings are expecting the baby soon. Plus, they have revealed the baby will be a boy! They have already chosen the name, Joseph Michael Jennings, for the newborn. With a name picked, these parents are as prepared as they can be, and now just wait for the baby to arrive!

Go For Gold Every Time

Two-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh is pregnant with her first child. She revelaed the news to Billy Bush on Access Hollywood. She told him that she is about 16 1/2 weeks along which could have made her pregnant at the time she won the gold this year in Beijing.

Kerri and her husband Casey Jennings want to find out the old fashioned way the sex of the baby. However they think it’s going to be a boy.

The beach volleyball star says that she is going to have to get used to a pregnant body. “I’m used to living my life in a bikini and I’m definitely not bikini-ready,” she joked with Billy. “I think the chubbiness is all relative, but it’s for the very best cause in the whole world, and I’m proud of it. I’m just going to stay off the beach for a while, how about that?”

She also broke the news that her volleyball partner, Misty May-Treanor, is trying to start a family as well.
