The world's proudest papa (NOT!), Eddie Murphy, is all set to meet his newest offspring, Angel Iris, for the first time—in court!

World Entertainment News reports that the baby's mom, singer Mel B (who just got cheated out of the first prize on Dancing with the Stars) is taking Murphy to court to force the actor to pay child support for eight-month-old Angel Iris. Right up until the DNA results came in, Murphy kept insisting he did not father the little girl.

After many, many months of pleading and scheming to bring Murphy face to face with his little Angel, Mel B has vowed that the first meeting will definitely take place in the courtroom.

"Angel has not met her dad yet. I don't think she will until it goes to court. I can't force anybody to do anything. I've done as much as I can do," said the Spice Girl/dancing star.

The court date has not yet been set.

For shame, Eddie, for shame!!!

Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown held a press conference with her lawyer Gloria Allred on Wednesday. The two claim that Eddie Murphy isn't doing "the right thing" in regards to Brown's 4-month-old baby. Back in June, Murphy took a paternity test and found out that Brown's baby, Angel Iris Murphy Brown, is his. However, "paternity has not been legally acknowledged," according to Allred.

"Murphy was promising to do the right thing, but to date he has not done the right thing," said Allred. "Mr. Murphy can have all the babies he chooses to have, but his responsibility needs to be to his own children. [Brown] is seeking sole physical and legal custody." Melanie is willing to arrange for Eddie to see his daughter though.

Melanie told the press, "I am here for one reason and one reason only – her name is Angel. Angel is my baby and Eddie's. She will always know that she was planned and wanted by both of us, but I want her to know that she has two parents who desire to be responsible for her during her life and who love her so much that they want to be a part of it."

Its official, Eddie Murphy is the biological father of Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown's baby, Angel Iris Murphy Brown. Eddie has been denying paternity of the 2-month-old since Melanie revealed that she was pregnant. In the past he has said that he would take of the child if it was his.

Melanie on the other hand, never had a doubt in her mind that the baby wasn't his. According to TMZ, the results are "irrefutable" and that, as with most DNA tests, there is a far greater than 99% probability that Murphy's the dad.

Eddie Murphy doesn't believe he's the father, but Scary Spice Melanie Brown gave her baby daughter the name "Murphy" anyway.

Media has obtained an official copy of a birth certificate for Mel B's daughter Iris-Angel Murphy Brown, born April 3 in Santa Monica, Calif., months after the former Spice Girl and the comedian split. Interestingly, the section that lists the child's father has been left blank.

Cameras caught Eddie at a Beverly Hills doctor's office Monday where he was reportedly undergoing a paternity test. The "Dreamgirls" star told Dutch TV in December that any assumption that Eddie was the little girl's dad was "presumptuous," adding "I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test."

Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown, 31, needed some time to pick out the perfect name for her new baby. She gave birth to a healthy baby girl on April 3. People had confirmed that she named her new daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown.

Eddie Murphy, 46, is the potential father. Melanie is convinced that she is his daughter but he wants a paternity test to prove it.

A friend of Melanie stated that "Melanie spent a while deciding on the baby's name." She goes on to say that "It was inspired by a number of things."

Brown told her London reps the explanation of the baby's name in a brief statement. "Angel, as she was my little angel through my pregnancy," she said. "Iris, as it's my grandma's name, Murphy because he's the dad and Brown because I'm the mum!"

This is Brown's second daughter. She has 8-year-old Phoenix Chi with her ex-husband, dancer Jimmy Gulzar.

Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown gave birth to a baby girl early Tuesday morning states People. "The baby is completely healthy with a good head of hair," a rep for Brown said in a statement.

Both mother and child are resting. They are calling the baby "Baby Brown" because no name has been decided yet. That could be her Spice Girl name when she gets older. Melanie was taken to a hospital in Santa Monica around 5:30 pm Monday and delivered the baby early Tuesday.

Baby Brown weighed 5 lb., 4 oz. and joins 8-year-old sister Phoenix Chi, Brown's daughter with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar. Melanie says that the father is Eddie Murphy. The two dated for a short period of time. He is skeptical about the paternity of the baby but has stated in the past that he wants a blood test.

Melanie Brown, former Scary Spice from the Spice Girls, had her baby shower over the weekend. She has had a lot of stress since she got pregnant and this was a relaxing time for her to be with friends and family.

Melanie, 31, held the shower at the Beverly Hills Hotel in a private room and there were about 30 guests. According to People, the shower featured a cake in the shape of a woman's pregnant belly clad in an animal-print loin cloth. Guests were also treated to plenty of Dom Pérignon champagne.

The ultimate question is the paternity of this unborn child. Melanie insists that the baby is Eddie Murphy's. The two dated in the summer for a short while right after his divorce from Nicole Mitchell. Soon after, he started dating film producer, Tracey Edmonds. He has denied paternity and wants a blood test. Melanie has been very upset over the situation but we should find out when the baby is born in a month.

Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice, is fighting back against Eddie Murphy's claim that he isn't the father of her child. People magazine reports that Melanie, 31, is insisting that Eddie is the father and she can't imagine why he would publicly question the child's paternity. She is in her second trimester of her pregnancy.

She released a statement on Thursday saying, "I am obviously upset and distressed at some of the comments made by Eddie Murphy to the media. I have no idea why anybody would want to conduct themselves in this kind of manner about such a personal matter in such a public way."

"My main concern is for the well being of my (seven-year-old) daughter Phoenix and of course the baby. I was astonished at what Eddie said – there is absolutely no question that Eddie is the father."

If you remember, earlier this week we reported that Murphy, 45, has denied Melanie's unborn child. "We're not together anymore. And I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn't jump to conclusions, sir," he said in a interview on the Dutch TV show RTL Boulevard.

Eddie wasn't very gentleman like either. A source says that Brown didn't even know her relationship with Eddie was over until she landed in Los Angeles and received voicemails from friends telling her about the TV interview.

To make matters worse, at the New York City premiere of his movie Dreamgirls, Murphy stepped out with his new girlfriend, Tracey Edmonds. Tracy is a movie producer and the ex-wife of singer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. Edmonds said they have been dating for "about a month and a half."

"This was extraordinarily brazen what he did," a friend of Brown tells People. "If he had fallen in love with somebody else, that would have been pretty bad anyway, but to then wheel her out in public for a deliberate photo op, when Melanie's pregnant! That's a rat, frankly." Her friend also says that Brown will agree to a paternity test. "Melanie's gone through shock, pain, anger, the whole range of emotions. A lot of women or men in this situation would go to ground but she wants to take it head on."

TMZ reports that Eddie Murphy is questioning the paternity of "his" unborn child with and former Spice Girl Melanie B. The couple had been daing since June and recently split up. 

On a Dutch TV show this weelend, Eddie was asked if he was happy with the pregnant Melanie, he then responded, "You're being presumptuous, because we're not together anymore. And I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn't jump to conclusions, sir."

Sounds like Melanie might be taking advice from Anna Nicole Smith.

Eddie Murphy and his British girlfriend, Melanie Brown, aka, “Scary Spice” are expecting their first child together. The couple has only been together since June and the former Spice girl is already four months along. 

Eddie already has six children. A son from a previous relationship and five with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell. The couple was divorced in April after thirteen years of marriage. Melanie has a seven year old daughter, Phoenix Chi, from her ex Jimmy Gulzar.

It is reported that Melanie is extremely excited about having Eddie’s baby. She is also very happy that his children have accepted her daughter.

We’ve also heard that twins runs in Eddie’s family. Could there be another set of Hollywood twins on the way? We’ll have to wait and see if the couple starts looking into double strollers! Looks like Eddie should be getting ready for another episode of Daddy Day Care!
