Gwyneth Paltrow had concerns about taking time off to be with her children, Apple, 4 and Moses, 2. While in Cannes to promote her new movie Two Lovers, she expressed her concern that there would be no room left for her in Hollywood when she was trying to come back.

“I really did not know if there would be a place for me,” said Paltrow. “Jodie Foster was right, especially if you are a woman and especially if you are not 25. Hollywood is pretty cutthroat, and everybody has a short memory. There is always someone who is younger or hotter or prettier. I was very realistic of that fact there would not be room for me,” said Paltrow. “I definitely knew I had lost my place.”

But then she landed the role in Two Lovers in which she costars with Joaquin Phoenix. She said “It has given me a lifeline, because I had taken a long time off work, going from being a mother at home for a long time, which was the greatest time in my life, but also feel like an artist again … that was a gift for me.”

Shoppers and employees at Ink Pad boutique in NYC’s West Village were shocked earlier this week by the talkative and outgoing nature of Gwyneth Paltrow’s three year old daughter Apple. The adorable little tot reportedly walked into the store and headed straight for the counter, where she chatted up the sales girl.

An onlooker commented that "she was so cute, speaking a mile a minute and telling the clerk that her dad was taking her to see the new ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks.’ ” Seconds later, though, a seemingly “annoyed” Martin ushered her out. “He wasn’t polite to the staff at all,” said our snitch.

Gwyneth Paltrow, 34, tells Spanish Vogue that her and other celebrity moms often get together to let their children play. Her and her husband, Cris Martin, have two children, Apple who will be three and Moses, 11 months.

Stella McCartney and Madonna are 2 of the moms that she hangs out with. Madonna has Lourdes, 10, Rocco, 6, and is in the process of adopting David, 17 months. Stella has a son, Miller, 2, and a 3 month old daughter, Bailey.

Gwyneth took time off of acting to be at home with her children. According to People, she is looking forward to going back to work but she will always enjoy being home with her children and Coldplay frontman husband.

In an interview with USA Today, Gwyneth Paltrow says she's ready to go back to work. She protrays a nagging wife in The Good Night, directed by her younger brother Jake. She also just signed on to play Robert Downey Jr.'s personal assistant, Virginia "Pepper" Potts, in Iron Man.

After playing the role as mom to Apple,2 and Moses, 10 months, for two years, Gwyneth said "I haven't done a part in a long time. I'm going back to work now. When I had kids, I just wanted to be with them." But doing one movie a year "makes you more interesting as a person and wife (to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin) and mother."

Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin, Apple and Moses celebrated both Christmas and Hanukkah this year. Gwyneth decided to honor her late father, Bruce, by celebrating both the Christian and Jewish festivities with her family. A source told Britian's Daily Express newspaper: "Gwyneth made sure her family celebrated both Christmas and Hanukkah.

"Chris accepts Gwyneth's desire for the children to be brought up understanding their proud Jewish background, even at this early stage."

Mom of two, Gwyneth Paltrow was seen taking 2-year old Apple for a walk in NYC this past Monday. Looks like Apple is becoming a little fashion diva while sporting a very warm hat and riding in her Combi Stroller!
