Celebrity moms aren't just making movies and striving for Hollywood accolades, they are working hard at being eco-mommies. From organic food to organic baby toys, celebrity moms are not only raising healthy eco-conscious families, they are making the green movement famous. Oscar-winning actress Gwenyth Paltrow, known for her long-time commitment to all things organic, has recently launched a website Goop.com with the focus to “nourish the inner aspect” according to her food philosophy of eating locally, seasonally and always organically – the way she feeds her daughter Apple, 5, and son Moses, 3.

Nicole Richie, who just announced that she and Joel Madden are going to give their daughter Harlow a baby brother or sister, wants her family to eat organic food. Madden was recently spotted at the Brentwood’s Farmers Market toting organic bread, fruit and vegetables.

One of the most high-profile moms Angelina Jolie is said to insist on organic foods, reportedly part of her success in quickly dropping her baby weight after her and Brad Pitt’s daughter Shiloh, who is now 2, was born.

Actress Julia Roberts, mother of twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 4, and son Henry, 19 months, isn’t just feeding her family organic food, she is feeding them foods from her own organic garden, according to blog Celebrity Moms as a way to teach her children about where food comes from. Nicole Kidman, mother of baby Sunday Rose, is reported to also grow her own organic veggies.

In October 2008, People magazine reported that actress-model Elizabeth Hurley, mother of 6-year old son Damien and dedicated supporter for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, is developing a line of low-fat organic products produced on her bio-dynamic farm in the English countryside.

Organic clothing
Eco-celeb moms want to deck their kiddos in only the best eco-friendly wear. Brooke Shields and Jenna Elfman have been reported to rely on BabySoy, clothing made from soybean fibers and renewable materials, in addition to other organic products. Jessica Alba, mom of baby girl Honor, was seen purchasing organic baby clothing from Kicky Pants and Pixie Lily.

Organic bedding
You can rest assured celebrity eco-babies are soundly sleeping in top-notch organic bedding. In addition to organic baby wear, Jessica Alba was also reported picking up Sage Creek organic crib sheets among other organic items when she nearing Honor’s birth.

When Jamie Lynn Spears was expecting her daughter Maddie, sis Brit picked up the tab for organic bedding and baby blankets made by Robbie Adrian and the two Spears sisters were also spotted in renowned celeb baby store Petit Tresor picking up organic blankets, towels and PJs.

When Nicole Richie and Joel Madden launched their Richie-Madden Children's Foundation in 2007, 100 needy moms and moms-to-be were presented with $200,000 worth of goods by Richie and Madden, including organic cleaning products as part of their mission to spread awareness for family health care, nutrition and education.

Eco-conscious celebrity moms Laura Dern, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sheryl Crow are reported to rely on organic baby lotions, with Sheryl Crow, who is a fan of Seventh Generation cleaning products, taking it a step even further with an eco-friendly baby shower featuring everything eco from non-paper, email invites to botanical party favors.

Former Punky Brewster star Soleil Moon Frye, mother of Poet, 3, and Jagger, 1, even launched her own organic baby store The Little Seed, that sells knapsacks made from hemp, organic Can You Dig It? swaddle blankets and phthalate-free, lead-free, and PVC-free Green to Grow baby drinking bottles, among many other eco-things.

Actress, Jessica Alba, spent some time outside with her daughter, Honor Marie, before the cold weather hits.  There won't be many more moments like this as the temperatures dip lower and lower.  As we all know, colder temperatures usually mean cold and flu viruses are everywhere.  To prevent your baby from catching a cold this fall, make sure to stock up on humidifier and a thermometer or two.  But when caring for baby, don't forget about yourself either!  A good-sized bottle of hand sanitizer will help prevent you from getting sick too!

Honor Marie is keeping mommy Jessica Alba very busy but happy. They were spotted by People in Gramercy Park and then met up with a friend. Word is that they may be moving back to the east coast and were looking for condos in NY that day.

It felt like it took forever for Jessica Alba, 27, to pop but the inevitable happened and she welcomed a baby girl, Honor Marie Warren. She was born Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Jessica and Cash Warren met on the set of Fantastic Four and recently got married.

Jessica Alba was out getting some last minute things for her and her baby Thursday afternoon. Her and a friend were in Beverly Hills shopping for the essentials before she pops any day now.

A source told People, “She was so excited and said she was due any minute! She just seemed relaxed and ready to welcome home her baby.”

Jessica is expecting a baby girl and picked up items like Born Free baby bottles, a Boppy breastfeeding pillow, a Tiny Love mobile, Sage Creek organic crib sheets and organic baby clothing from Kicky Pants and Pixie Lily.

On Monday, mom-to-be Jessica Alba, 27, and Cash Warren, 31, did in fact get married. It was a low key, spur-of-the-monent ceremony that even shocked their friends.

The couple got together in 2004 after meeting on the set of The Fantastic Four and were engaged last December. Their baby is due soon, late springish.

The celebrity stork seems to be on a double duty kick. We now hear that we can expect to see not one set (JLo) or two sets (Angelina) of celebrity twins, but THREE sets!

Jessica Alba now has at least a one-in-two shot of having the "brown" baby she craves. She's expecting twins, she and boyfriend Cash Warren just discovered. They still don't know the sex of the babies.

Sources claim the 26-year-old has had to rethink the design of her nursery. "Knowing that she's going to have twins has turned Jessica's life upside down," says a pal. "She and Cash have had to scrap plans for a one-baby nursery and start all over again."

I guess we should congratulate them once more!

It's also being reported that Alba is due to give birth on June 8.

Jessica Alba seems a little confused. But let's give her the benefit of the doubt and say that, like Nicole Richie, pregnancy has radically transformed her. 

This is what she had to say a while back: “Alba is my last name and I’m proud of that. But that’s it. My grandparents were born in California, the same as my parents, and though I may be proud of my last name, I’m American. Throughout my whole life, I’ve never felt connected to one particular race or heritage, nor did I feel accepted by any. If you break it down, I’m less Latina than Cameron Diaz, whose father is Cuban. But people don’t call her Latina because she’s blonde.”

She caught a lot of flack for that comment, and rightly so. Now she's singing a different tune: "I wish to God that my dad spoke Spanish to my brother and me, but he didn't grow up with it," she tells Latina magazine.

"Hopefully I can pick it up because I want my kids to speak Spanish. I don't even want them to speak English for maybe the first two to three years, until pre-school. "We're in the United States so they're going to learn it anyway."

Alba goes even further. Referring to the baby's daddy, Cash Warren, who's biracial, she says: "I'm excited for my baby to be brown. I just have to believe the dark gene is going to survive. Cash and I are like, please!"

She can more than afford her own baby shower, but since celebs and swag go together like babies and boobies, Jessica Alba was flooded with baby gifts on her recent appearance on the Tyra Banks Show.

Tyra generously supplied the mom-to-be with loads of gifts, including a stroller, bassinet, high chair, blankets and other baby necessities.

Alba, 26, is expecting her first child with Cash Warren this spring or early summer.

These belly-bump boasting celebs should really give it a rest when it comes to trying to cover up pregnancy details. Cause whatever the information is, it's going to get leaked, whether by parents, in-laws, 'unnamed inside sources'/paid friends or relatives, or loose-lipped store clerks.

Take for instance, the sex of Jessica Alba's unborn child, which she already knows, but wasn't telling when she appeared on Late Night with David Letterman earlier this week. 

Sorry, Jess, but the world is now privy to the news that you're expecting a boy.  The Daily News reports that Alba bought nautical-themed furniture in the baby store to the stars, L.A.'s Petit Tresor. On the way out, she reportedly grabbed a blue onesie that read "I'm a Boy."

It's not the thought of labor that scares Jessica Alba. It's the thought of breastfeeding!

The expectant 26-year-old told Extra that her pregnancy is "quite a blessing and perfect timing," but she's been having mood swings. "Anything could make me incredibly angry or break down crying, and that's not something I'm used to," she says. No wonder she looks so miserable in her recent photos.

But Alba claims to be "paranoid" about breastfeeding. Paranoid??? She talks about her unnerving dreams: "It had to do with breastfeeding, which is the only thing I'm paranoid about, more than giving birth."

Alba says she's also exercising and eating healthy so she doesn't gain too much weight too fast.

When she realizes that breastfeeding will help her to lose the baby weight (Salma Hayek reportedly does it even when Valentina is full) Alba's paranoia will probably disappear.
