It’s A Boy For McConaughey!

Matthew McConaughey and his girlfriend of two years, Camila Alves, welcomed a son Monday night. According to People, the baby was born at 6:22 p.m. in Los Angeles, weighing in at 7 lbs., 4 oz.

This is the first child for both Matt and Camila. Back in January, Matt blogged: “We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come in raising this child, being a mother and a father, and sheparding him or her through this life.”

Is the next step marriage?

McConaughey Accidentally Learns Baby’s Sex

Poor Mac-Daddy! After his spiel about keeping the mystery alive and not wanting to diminish the thrill of first-time fatherhood by learning his baby's sex, the doctor went ahead and spilled the beans.

Star magazine reports that McConaughey's baby's momma, Camila Alves, 25, went for her fourth-month prenatal checkup and, despite the couple's request to be kept in the dark, the doctor couldn't help but refer to the baby as a "he."

A friend of the couple told the mag: "Matthew was so upset with the doctor for giving it away. When the doctor realized what he had done, he felt bad and tried to say that he calls all babies 'he.' But he then confessed that wasn't really the case after Matthew demanded to know the truth."

It's also being reported that McConaughey handed over his credit card to Camila and gave her his blessing to decorate not only the nursery, but the entire $10 million mansion he recently bought.

Like most knocked-up celebrities and their babies' daddies, Matthew McConaughey can't stop gushing about impending parenthood. For him, it's been a looooong time coming.

The 38-year-old actor tells Extra that he's been infanticipating since "before I was ten years old." 

"I finally turned the page in that chapter in my life and it was the right time and the right moment," he proclaims. McConaughey doesn't want to find out the gender of the baby, his first, with Brazilian model Camila Alves. The two hit the premiere of "Fool's Gold" this week.

The proud sperminator says Camila has started exuding….radiance, that is. "It happened around nine days ago, that glow that a pregnant woman gets when they're happy, and she got it! She knew," Matthew said.

McConaughey Excited Sans Sex (News)

Proud Papa-in-the-making, actor Matthew McConaughey, 38, wants to keep riding the roller coaster of anticipation he's been on since learning the happy baby news. So he doesn't want to learn the sex of his unborn child.

It's reported that the star of 'Fool's Gold,' whose girlfriend, Camila Alves, is 12 weeks along, wants to remain in the dark, as he fears that finding out the gender of the baby would ruin the excitement of first-time fatherhood.

"We want to keep the suspense as high as possible," McConaughey says. "I'm looking forward to the big adventure! One thing I've heard that's consistent is, 'whatever plans you make, throw them out the window!'"

Matt and Camila ‘Stoked and Wowed’

PEOPLE magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive' and Brazilian model, Camila Alves, have merged their gorgeousness genes to create a baby that will surely give Shiloh and Suri a run for their money!

The 38 year old actor revealed in his blog that Camila is 3 months pregnant. The couple have been virtually inseparable since they first met a year ago.

"My girlfriend Camila and I made a baby together. It's 3 months growin in her womb and all looks healthy and lively so far. We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come in raising this child, being mother and a father, and shepherding him or her through this life," Matthew writes.
