Recently, Jennifer Meyer, wife of Tobey Maguire, and son, Otis Maguire, were seen leaving the Madeo restaurant in Beverly Hills for a family dinner. Otis was sporting his sleepwear when they left the restaurant. It’s always a good idea to bundle up babies in warmer sleepers during the autumn and winter months. Spiderman actor Tobey Maguire and wife, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer Maguire welcomed a baby boy on Friday, May 8th! No further details were released. Tobey and Jennifer announced the pregnancy in November, and the newborn boy will join big sister Ruby Sweetheart in the family. Maybe this little Spiderman will join his dad on the movie set? If not, I wonder if he’ll be dressed as Spiderman for Halloween! Wearing his dad’s movie mask would make his future kindergarten class jealous!

Ruby Sweetheart’s Name Explained

Tobey Maguire spent Easter with his one-year old daughter, Ruby Sweetheart.

He has a very touching explanation for why he and wife, Jen, gave their daughter her rather unusual name:

“Jen’s grandmother, who passed away recently, would always call her ‘Sweetheart,’” Maguire says. “We named her that to honor her grandmother.”

As for Ruby? “We just like the name.”

SpiderMan Is An Excellent Dad!

Spiderman 3 co star James Franco, who plays Harry Osborn, says that Tobey Maguire is an excellent dad. Tobey has a 6-month-old daughter, Ruby. Tobey's fiancée, Jennifer Meyer, and Ruby have been traveling with him while promoting Spiderman 3.

James told People, "It's strange, because I've known Tobey about six or seven years, and to see him grow over those years, I'm really proud of him." He continued, "He seems like he's an excellent dad. He's completely consumed with that child."

Rosemary Harris, who plays Aunt May, agrees. "[Tobey] seems to be a natural," Harris, 76, told People. "He's a kind, loving person." And Ruby, who was born in November, "seems to [be] traveling well. The baby's mother, [Maguire's fiancée] Jennifer Meyer, looks radiant."

Tobey recently told People that he loves being a dad and that it's nice to have his family with him while he is traveling all over the world.

Toby Maguire Names Daughter

Update: Toby and Jennifer have actually named their daughter Ruby Sweetheart Maguire in honor of Jen's grandmother who used to call her sweetheart. Many thanks to our ready Steph for passing along the information!

We have finally learned the name of Toby Maguire and Jennifer Meyers baby. Ruby Jane Maguire was born last weekend and a friend of the family says they chose the baby's name because "they treasure her like a jewel."

Toby Maguire Welcomes Daughter

Actor Toby Maguire and his fiancee Jennifer Meyer have a new baby girl to look after! No word on her name yet, but she was born in Los Angeles on Thursday. People magazine reports that Jen and Toby are both equally thrilled about their bundle of joy! Looks like all those baby products she received at her baby shower are about to come in handy!

The party was thrown in Malibu and all the A-List stars where there. This wasn't your typical Hollywood party though, it was a baby shower. The "Spider Man" star Toby Maguire is expecting his first child with fiancee Jennifer Meyer.

Jennifer's dad - Universal Studios boss, Ron Meyer's held the part at his house. Here, the guests showered Jennifer with baby gifts pool side.

Amongst the list of stars where Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore, Courtney Cox Arquette, Jennifer Garner, and Kate Hudson. One guest said "It was a very mellow afternoon. It was a totally easy breezy shower. No shower games. No present opening. Just hanging out."
